Sprite’s Worldwide Search for Basketball Talent

This world is full of undiscovered talent, and order to be discovered you must be publicized. 24 lucky basketball players from around the world will get more publicity than they have ever had before when the participate in the Sprite Uncontainable Game at NBA All-Star 2013.

Sprite has recently announced its search for talented amateur basketball players. Six NBA players, including Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, will help Sprite discover and promote the 24 basketball players. Sprite will be looking for talented players in 27 different countries, including China, Mexico and many European and African countries.

Social media will play a huge part in the search for talent. Ballers will have the opportunity to upload a 30 second video of them doing their most uncontainable moves, and hope that those moves are good enough to earn them one of the 24 spots. Because of social media, Sprite and NBA players will have the ability to see videos of people in 27 different countries without being their physically. Social media is a unique tool that has made this competition possible.
Once the players have been discovered, they will be coached by either Kobe or LeBron.  LeBron James will coach Team Sudden and Kobe Bryant will coach Team Intense. Players hoping to make it on Team Intense and Team Sudden will be judged on four factors. Contestants for Team Sudden will be judge on:

Force: The strength and force of the move.

Shock Factor: How shocking the move is.

Originality: How original the move is.

Degree of Difficulty: How challenging the move is.

Contestants for Team Intense will also be judged on originality and degree of difficult, but will not be judged on force and shock factor. Instead judges will be looking at:

Agility: The agility used to execute the move.

Surprise Factor: How surprising the move is.

The Uncontainable Game is a once in a life time opportunity for players to be coached by two of the best basketball players in the NBA. The game will also get them worldwide exposure. Sprite’s attempt to make this a worldwide competition is great because it will bring together people from different cultures and backgrounds. Although each players culture and background may  be different, they will all be competing for the same reason. To show off their talent and win the 2013 Uncontainable Game!
